TIME TROL LV modified starch is a high quality, easily mixed dry product designed to control fluid loss without contributing to an increase in viscosity.

Method of Addition

TIME TROL LV can be added at the hopper, as required. It mixes quickly in most mixing systems and provides necessary fluid properties in a short time.

Applications

TIME TROL LV controls fluid loss in freshwater, seawater, KCI and salt mud's. It forms a thin, resilient, impermeable filter cake which minimizes the potential for differential sticking and the invasion of filtrate and mud solids into permeable formations. It is effective in low concentrations, with the normal fluid-loss treatment ranging from 0.75 to 2 lb/bbl (2 to 6 kg/m3). In saltwater systems, higher concentrations are required for encapsulation, with normal concentrations ranging from 1 to 3 lb/bbl (2.85 to 8.6 kg/ m3).
TIME TROL LV generates less viscosity than regular PAC products. The viscosity generated will depend on the solids concentration, salinity and makeup-water chemistry.
TIME TROL LV is an anionic starch which will encapsulate exposed clay and shale drill cuttings and the borehole walls. This protective polymer “envelope” inhibits the dispersion of shale cuttings and restricts fluid interactions with exposed shale.

Packaging and Storage

TIME TROL LV is packaged in 50 lb/22.7 kg bags and 5 gallon pails. Store in a cool, dry location.
